Laura Schantz has been in practice since 1994.Professional Experience
Laura worked for the first six months out of law school for Palmer Feltz Smith and McDonald in Portland. Her next position, at Martin, Elliott, and Snell in Tualatin was the beginning of her work in family law cases, although she also specialized in employment work for plaintiffs discriminated against in the workplace. In 1997 she joined Gevurtz Menashe Larson & Howe, P.C., the largest family law firm in the state of Oregon, where she began her exclusive concentration on family law cases. In October, 1999, Laura started her own family law practice in Hillsboro where she is currently located.Education

Laura is a past President of the Washington County Bar Association 2002/03. She is a past Board member of the Oregon State Bar Pro Bono Committee. She is a Board member of Washington County Conciliation Services. She is the current Chair of the Washington County Family Law Bench/Bar Committee. She is a Pro Tem Judge in Washington County for Restraining Order and Elder Abuse cases.
